From its beginning in 2013, Department MOCST Thua Thien Hue has directed the tourism business operators and improve the quality of new tourism products, especially the tourism product for visitors during Tet Spectacular Quy Ty.

Department held a seminar program to get feedback about developing tourism Hue period 2013 – 2015 and orientation to 2020; PPC reported plans to implement key programs in developing travel and tourism stimulus plan in 2013; organization success welcoming Group Famtrip is great area tourism businesses in Ho Chi Minh City to visit, study tour, in Thua Thien Hue and organizations program of exchange and cooperation between local tourism development; Conference participants signed cooperation documents the local tourism development in Thua Thien Hue and Quang Nam – Da Nang – Quang Ngai Ho Chi Minh Quang Ngai province.

Well organized conference “Tourism Promotion Hue 2013” in Hanoi to attend the meeting of nearly 150 top travel agents in Hanoi and press agencies. At Hue Tourism Conference has announced the program, tourism products and tourism stimulus package in 2013. Construction plans international tourism fairs in Hanoi from 18/4 – 21/4/2013; plan to attend the fair JATA Travel Show 2013 in Japan will take place from 12 – 15/09/2013 . Continue to build the project a tourist information for visitors, the outline of a new publication: Directory of Services and Tourism Directory of World Heritages of Thua Thien Hue province; complete content statute on writing logo and slogan for Hue tourism.

The first quarter of 2013, Hue tourism is estimated to welcome over 632 thousand visitors, including guests staying were welcomed 384.4 thousand, an increase of 6.24% over the same period in 2012.International tourists reached 200 thousand, domestic tourists reached 184 thousand. Stayed an average of 2.05 days. Tourism revenue reached 560 billion, up 16.5% over the same period in 2012. In particular, international sales accounted for 65%. Revenue from tourism was estimated to reach 1300 billion. Private tour operators have welcomed and served 18.9 thousand passengers, up 7.8% compared to the same period in 2012. In which international arrivals reached nearly 10,300. Welcomed and served 13,800 visitors ships, mostly tourists from China, Hong Kong, Italy, Spain, UK, USA, Canada, Australia.
